a super zero-rest-mass-equation
Authors
abstract
various authors have considered the zero-rest-mass equation and the contour integral representation of its solutions. ferber generalized these equations to supertwistor spaces with 2n odd components so that with n=o we get the standard ungraded twistors of penrose. in this paper we use the batchelor theorem toconstruct the natural super twistor space with coarse topology with underlying standard twistors. we also introduce a super zero rest-mass equation (s. z. r. m) which satifies the standard non- graded z. r. m. equation when an augmentation map &is; applied. it has been shown that the contour integral defined by rogers can be used to represent a solution for these equations and these solutionsreduce to standard solutions when one applies the ?-map

Further imagine two events. Event e1 is associated with the transfer of energy E and momentum p1 from particle 1. Event e2 is likewise associated with particle 2's transfer of energy and momentum from particle 1. As a consequence of the situation as shown in figure 1, these events must occur at the same time and place. But is there another reference frame S in which these events do not occur at...
full textOn a “zero mass” nonlinear Schrödinger equation
We look for positive solutions to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation −ε2∆u − V (x)f ′(u) = 0, in RN , under the hypothesis of zero mass on the nonlinearity. We prove an existence result for any ε > 0, and a multiplicity result for ε sufficiently small.
full textThe Rest Mass of a Particle in a Field and a General Mass Equation
Abstract Using a modified version of the mass vector model, Hassan (1997), we explain that the particle mass decreases (increases) if the particle in attractive (repulsive) field. The concepts of the free rest mass and the rest mass in a field are introduced. We conclude that the mass of a particle in a field changes according to the rule 2 0 / 1 ( / ) f f v c m m = − , where 0 f m is the rest ...
full textOn Zero–Mass Ground States in Super– Membrane Matrix Models
We recall a formulation of super-membrane theory in terms of certain matrix models. These models are known to have a mass spectrum given by the positive half-axis. We show that, for the simplest such matrix model, a normalizable zero-mass ground state does not exist. Heisenberg Fellow On leave of absence from Karlsruhe University
full textOn Zero-Mass Bound States in Super-Membrane Models
For the simplest case of a supermembrane matrix model, various symmetry reductions are given, with the fermionic contribution(s) (to an effective Schrödinger equation) corresponding to an attractive δ-function potential (towards zero-area configurations). The differential equations are real, and are shown not to admit square-integrable real solutions (even when allowing non-vanishing boundary c...
